How We Review
Every product review, comparison, and category guide on VitaminsForMen.com follows a consistent verification process before a single word is written. This page explains that process and our affiliate disclosure in full.
Our Verification Process
Before writing about any product, the VFM Research Desk completes the following steps:
Step 1 — Source the official product page. We go directly to the brand’s website. We do not rely on retailer listings, third-party summaries, or press materials as our primary source.
Step 2 — Extract and verify the supplement facts panel. For supplement products, we read the full Supplement Facts label: every ingredient, every dose, every form. If a marketing page lists ingredients that don’t appear on the label — or lists doses that don’t match — we flag it. We write to what’s on the label, not to marketing copy.
Step 3 — Verify pricing, purchasing terms, and refund policy. We note current pricing at the time of writing and document the refund policy terms in full, including any conditions that affect whether a refund is actually available (return windows, open-bottle policies, subscription cancellation terms). Pricing and policies change — we include our verification date.
Step 4 — Check ingredient-level evidence. We assess what peer-reviewed research exists for the key active ingredients. We distinguish between: established evidence with multiple replicated human trials; preliminary evidence from small or single studies; animal or in-vitro data that hasn’t been confirmed in humans; and ingredients with minimal or no supporting research in the relevant context. We do not present study findings as product benefit claims.
Step 5 — Apply compliance standards. All supplement content follows DSHEA framing. Supplements are not evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. We do not use language that implies supplements can treat medical conditions. For telehealth and prescription content, we apply appropriate category-specific framing — including the distinction between compounded and FDA-approved finished drug products where relevant.
What We Do Not Do
We do not rank products based on affiliate commission rates. We do not accept payment from brands to be included in or excluded from our coverage. We do not write positive reviews in exchange for free products. We do not adjust editorial conclusions based on commercial relationships.
We do not reproduce marketing language as factual claims. A brand saying a product is “clinically proven” is a marketing statement, not a verified fact — we assess the underlying evidence independently.
Affiliate Disclosure
VitaminsForMen.com participates in affiliate programs. When you click a link to a product or service on this site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the seller at no additional cost to you. Affiliate commissions support the cost of running this publication.
Affiliate links are present throughout this site. Their presence does not mean the linked product is the best option for every reader, or that it was selected because of the affiliate relationship. Products we cover critically may have affiliate programs. Products we cover positively may not have them.
Per FTC Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255), we are required to disclose material connections to products we discuss. Affiliate commission relationships are a material connection. We disclose them here and in-article on content where affiliate links appear.
Medical Disclaimer
VitaminsForMen.com is an independent editorial publication. It is not a medical practice. The VFM Research Desk does not include licensed physicians, pharmacists, or registered dietitians in a review or advisory capacity at this time. Content on this site is written for informational purposes only.
Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Dietary supplements discussed on this site have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any supplement, hormonal support, or therapeutic program, particularly if you have an existing medical condition or take prescription medications.
Corrections Policy
If we have made a factual error — a wrong dosage, an outdated price, an incorrectly stated policy term — we correct it. If you spot something that’s wrong, use our contact page. We’ll verify it and update the content if the correction is warranted.
Content Currency
Product details — pricing, formulas, refund policies, availability — change. We include verification dates on product-specific content. Older articles may contain details that are no longer accurate. When in doubt, verify directly with the brand before purchasing.
